Human Rights is celebrated on 10th December annually all over the world. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which is formally incepted in 1950 after the Assembly passed resolution 423(V) inviting all states and interested organizations.

Likewise it is also celebrated all over Nepal along with  Janakpurdham by lighting candle in the heart of the city, Bhanu Chowk which reminds us about the basic rights and freedom to which human beings are entitled. It includes rights to freedom of expression and movement, equality before the law, the rights to live, religion, education etc.

To maintain the peace and harmony in the society, it is very important to know our human rights and it must be protected which will definitely help to promote justice and welfare of the society. Thus people must know what Human rights are and must protect it for themselves.
