Welcome to my blog “QA with Sulav” – a place where I’ll be sharing my experiences, learning, and progress as I step into the world of Quality Assurance (QA).
Today was Day 1 of my QA apprenticeship at Skill Shikshalaya, and honestly, it was a great start!
💡 What Happened Today?
We kicked things off with an orientation session, and it really helped set the tone for what's coming ahead.
Here’s a quick recap of what we did:
🔹 Microsoft Teams Setup
We were shown how to use Microsoft Teams – this is where all our learning materials, notes, and class recordings will be shared. Super useful!
🔹 How to Make a Good CV
Got some great tips on writing a QA-focused CV – what to include, how to structure it, and what recruiters actually look for.
🔹 LinkedIn Tips
We learned how important LinkedIn is for building a professional profile. Things like what to include, how to highlight skills, and why it matters for job searching.
🔹 Fun Puzzle Game 🧩
To keep our minds fresh, we played a quick crossword puzzle related to QA. It was fun and made everyone smile.
🔹 Meet and Greet with Fellow Apprentices
We had a casual intro session with other apprentices. It felt nice to meet people who are also starting their QA journey like me.
✨ My Thoughts
I’ve been in media and tech for a while, but this QA journey feels like a fresh start — something with purpose. Today’s session gave me clarity and motivation. I feel excited (and a bit nervous!) about what’s coming, but I’m ready to learn and grow.
I’ll be sharing more updates here as the training continues — including what I’m learning, tools we’re using, challenges I face, and maybe even some code snippets or tips. If you’re also thinking of entering the QA or tech field, I hope this blog helps or inspires you.
Thanks for reading! 🙏
See you on Day 2 👨💻
Stay curious,
Sulav
